Description: X-Gal is a chromogenic substrate of β-galactosidase, which produces a blue product under the catalysis of β-galactosidase. Based on this feature, when the pUC series vector DNA is transformed with lacZ-deficient cells as the host, or when the M13 phage vector DNA is transfected, if X-Gal and IPTG are added to the medium, due to the α-galactosidase α -Complementarity, the gene recombinant can be easily selected according to whether it is white or not.

Uses: 1. Used as a stabilizer for blood preservation, protein drug cytochrome C injection;

   2. It is often used for in situ staining detection of β-galactosidase and blue-white spot screening.
